I have been bowhunting for many years and I can truthfully say this has made me a better all around outdoorsman and hunter. You must put all your senses on full alert when bowhunting because of the close range you and your quarry are at. If you are stalking your game on the ground and you are bowhunting elk, bear, moose, or any of the different families of deer you must remember you are in their back yard and they know every tree, trail, smell and sound just like you know when someone walks into your living room. This puts you at a disadvantage before you even step into the forest so to even the odds you quickly learn scent control, camouflage techniques and noise suppression.
