My husband has worked in agriculture farming for most of his life and loves the outdoors. In fact, if he had his way he would be taking off every weekend to go deer hunting. As you might imagine our garage has an incredible array of hunting gear all carefully organized awaiting the next ultimate hunting trip.

This year he has scheduled a bowhunting trip in the rugged terrain of the Alaskan wilderness. I've always thought of myself as an adventurous type and I love the outdoors. However, I will admit I don't totally understand how one could want to be waist high in snow while waiting for Bambi to run by. As adventurous as I may be, my idea of a good time would be a nice warm dinner aboard a cruise ship in the Pacific. Despite never wanting to go hunting before, I had been contemplating telling my husband that I wanted to go along on his trip so I might better understand what he finds so wonderful about bowhunting. As I pictured myself being laughed at I finally told him I wanted to go along. As expected, the one who knows me best just laughed and told me I better book an Alaskan cruise. So, while he is off with his buddies in a field waiting for the perfect shot, I will be aboard the cruise ship for a girl's weekend and we too will be ordering up the perfect shot!
